Sage, an agent who hasn't changed all that much since VALORANT's closed beta and who's been caught up in nerf after nerf amid the agent frenzy, has been a huge hit with us in Turkey. Our agent, who should be in almost every composition, is the kind you really feel the absence of when she's missing. We couldn't resist putting together a guide for an agent this important. Here's the VALORANT Sage Guide 2022!

What Are Sage's Abilities?
Sage's mantra is safety. In a battlefield where second chances are few and far between, Sage provides her allies with the ultimate safety net exactly when they need it.
Her signature Healing Orb ability lets wounded allies keep pushing forward, while her barrier can block off key chokepoints. But what makes Sage such a powerful pick is her ability to bring friendly agents back to life. All four of Sage's abilities can be found below:
C Ability — Barrier Orb (400 Credits): Creates a wall you can summon in-game. On some maps, this wall significantly blocks entry into sites. Q Ability — Slow Orb (200 Credits): Throw an orb that slows every player caught in its area of effect. Any teammates caught in the orb will be slowed too, so be careful where you throw it. E Ability — Healing Orb (Free; 45 sec. cooldown): An ability that can restore up to 60 health of missing health for you or a teammate. Since this is your signature ability, you don't need to buy it. It comes off cooldown 45 seconds after use. X (Ultimate) Ability — Resurrection (8 Points): EQUIP a resurrecting ability. Aim your crosshair at a friendly corpse and FIRE to bring them back to life. Your fellow gunslinger returns to life fully healed after a short delay. Healing is Sage's biggest trump card — and it's what sets her apart from the rest of her class. The Sentinel's Healing Orb is a handy tool you can use during a round to bring you or a teammate back from the brink of death.
Her game-changing, massive ability is her ultimate, which brings an ally back from the dead. Fittingly, once you use Resurrection, it only takes a few seconds for your ally to be back in the game. This is especially useful considering the resurrected teammate will have had a chance to watch for a certain period, gaining valuable intel that can swing the outcome of a round.
How Do You Play Sage?

You can't dive into a fight with Sage and take on the entire enemy team by yourself. Since it's all about playing defensively and helping your allies, you shouldn't be making aggressive moves. She has healing and resurrection, but her Barrier Orb and Slow Orb can also be useful tools.
Let's talk about the Barrier Orb. Even though it's seen a few changes over Valorant's lifespan, that ice wall can still cause chaos on the battlefield. Like on Haven's C site, use it to block off one of the entrances to a main bombsite you don't want enemies flooding into. A well-placed wall next to the attacking side's spawn can cut off access to that site entirely. Of course, you can shoot at the wall enough to break it, but by doing so you'll be giving away your position to Sage's team, who will no doubt be lying in wait to react at that point.
Sage's Slow Orb looks great on paper, but it's a tool that's hard to master. A single bad throw can slow your entire team as they walk on thin ice. To truly master it, learn the map's popular chokepoints, so a well-timed orb can slow the whole enemy team and let you push them out of there.
On paper, Sage looks like someone who should be on every Valorant team, but reality isn't quite that simple. While her kit is excellent on defense, it offers very little on offense, especially when playing with allies who want to rush in.
