Xbox Free Play Days: WUCHANG and 4 more free

This week's Xbox Free Play Days bring five games. WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, Darkwood, Spirittea and EVERSPACE 2 are free for Game Pass members from October 29 to November 1, while Dead by Daylight is free for every Xbox player on console.

All of them are discounted during the event, and if you buy, you keep your progress, Gamerscore and achievements. Xbox notes that discounts and availability may vary by region.

Xbox Free Play Days games and discounts

Xbox Wire says Spirittea and EVERSPACE 2 are playable on both console and PC. The post gives two start dates for Dead by Daylight, October 28 in the intro and October 29 in the game's own section, with November 2 as the end date in both.

How do you download Xbox Free Play Days games?

Xbox lists two routes. On the web, open the game's page on Xbox.com, follow the link to the Microsoft Store and sign in to see the install option with your membership. On console, open the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store and scroll down to the Free Play Days collection on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.

Which game should you try?

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers

A soulslike action RPG set in the land of Shu during the late Ming Dynasty, a region torn by warring factions and a mysterious illness that spawns monstrous creatures. If you like tough combat, start here.

Darkwood

A survival horror game where you scavenge the forest by day and hunker down in your hideout at night, hoping to see the morning. A good fit for Halloween week.

Spirittea and EVERSPACE 2

Spirittea is the cosy option: you are the only one who can see the town's troublesome spirits, and you run an old bathhouse to help them. EVERSPACE 2 is a fast single-player space shooter built around exploration and loot.

Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight is running its Haunted by Daylight event, with new rifts, items and abilities. No Game Pass membership is needed, but the free access is on console.

What joined Game Pass today?

Game Pass also added four games on October 29, according to Pure Xbox: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (Ultimate, PC and Premium), Mouthwashing, Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted and Terrible Lizards (Ultimate and PC). Unlike Free Play Days, these join the catalogue rather than a weekend trial.
