Alien Worlds is a game where you can earn Trilium (TLM) by mining, with a chance to mine an NFT game card every time you mine. Alien Worlds is a DeFi Metaverse blockchain-based game, and it's free for everyone. So what is Alien Worlds? What is Trilium? How do you earn money? What are the planets in Alien Worlds? Let's take a look at this game together.

Alien Worlds

What Is Alien Worlds?

Alien Worlds is a free-to-play game where you take on the role of a space explorer -- that is, a miner. Players are equipped with a set of three mining tools and can choose a planet to explore and mine Trillium (TLM) on. To play Alien Worlds, you need to create a WAX.io Wallet. WAX is the world's leading decentralized video game and entertainment network focused on NFTs. You can create a wallet by linking a Google, Facebook, or Twitter account, or by creating a brand-new WAX account. Once you've set up your WAX Wallet, Alien Worlds will ask you to grant it a set of permissions to use it, and you're ready to start mining!

What Is Trillium?

Trillium (TLM) is the cryptocurrency you earn by playing Alien Worlds. You get TLM by mining, and the amount you get is determined by the tools you've equipped, the land you're mining on, and the current mining pot on the planet you're playing on. Mining Trillium takes anywhere from 2-3 seconds to 2-3 minutes, depending on your tools and the machine you're mining with.

How Do You Earn Money in Alien Worlds? 2022

While mining for TLM, the game sometimes rewards you with a special item -- a tool, a minion, a weapon, maybe an avatar. These items are NFTs -- Non-Fungible Tokens -- and they're harder to obtain than TLM.

You get TLM every time you mine, while your chance of getting an NFT is determined by a combination of your tool's odds and the land you're mining on.

Alien Worlds NFTs live on the blockchain and can be freely traded. Players use the Atomic Hub Marketplace to trade NFTs, and this can be a convenient way to earn money by playing Alien Worlds.

What Are the Planets in Alien Worlds?

The first thing you'll see when you start the game is the planets, and there are two main metrics you need to know:

  • The Mining Pot, which determines how much TLM you'll earn from mining. Higher is better.
  • The refill rate, which is how fast TLM replenishes on the planet. Higher is better.

If you're just starting out, it doesn't really matter which planet you pick. Neri is a popular choice among players, but many players just pick whichever one looks most appealing. If you're worried about not earning as much TLM as possible, pick the planet with the best balance between Mining Pot and Refill Rate.

What Is Staking TLM?

You can stake TLM to a planet. This will increase the planet's total available Mining Pot. The more players mining on a given planet, the lower the mining pot gets, so staking is essential to keeping the economy alive. When staking, it's best to join a group of people staking on a particular planet, because the Staked-to-Mining-Pot ratio is roughly 1,000,000 to 1. Staking in groups benefits everyone.

Land in Alien Worlds

Every planet in Alien Worlds is made up of Land. Land is the core of your mining process, because every piece of Land has three basic stats:

  • Chance of getting an NFT,
  • The amount of TLM you'll get from mining,
  • Charge Time Multiplier.

While mining, these stats combine with your Tools to determine the final odds, TLM, and charge time you'll get. There are many different types of land.

Land also has commissions. The commission determines how much the land owner takes from anyone mining on that land, so you'll want to look for land with lower commissions.

Land also has rarities that determine its stats. The rarer the land, the more likely all of its stats are to be higher. The downside is that rarer land has higher charge times, meaning you'll have to wait longer before you can mine again. Rarities go in this order:

  • Common (Gray)
  • Rare (Blue)
  • Epic (Purple)
  • Legendary (Yellow)

Tools in Alien Worlds

Tools are what you use to mine in Alien Worlds, and there are four stats associated with them:

  • Mining power,
  • NFT Chance,
  • Charge Time,
  • Battle stat.

You want tools with high Mining Power, high NFT chance, and low cooldown time. POW stands for proof of work, and it makes it easier for your machine to complete the Mining process. POW isn't something you need to worry about until later in the game, since it doesn't get high until then.

Like Land, all tools have rarities, ranked as follows:

  • Abundant (Light Gray)
  • Common (Gray)
  • Rare (Blue)
  • Epic (Purple)
  • Legendary (Yellow)
  • Legendary (Red)

Mining in Alien Worlds

As we mentioned earlier, mining is the core gameplay element in Alien Worlds. Mining has two stages:

  • Mining, and
  • Waiting for your tools to charge

To mine, press the Mine button and follow the process. The game will reward you with TLM, and a timer will appear in the top-right corner of the interface. You can't continue playing until this timer runs out.

While how long you have to wait to mine depends on your Tools' and Land's cooldown, how long mining itself takes depends on chance and your physical computer.
