Every table uses the same rule: aged 21 or under , the relevant midfield role as main position , and at least 85 potential . For each position we show the 12 players with the highest potential. Cheaper players who missed the cut are listed at the end. The "Role fit" column comes from the FC 27 roles shown on fifacm player pages, where "++" means a stronger fit than "+". Ages are as listed on fifacm, and value is the in-game market value.

This guide splits the young midfielders in EA SPORTS FC 27 Career Mode into three groups: defensive midfielders (CDM), central midfielders (CM) and attacking midfielders (CAM). All data comes from fifacm and reflects the October 6, 2026 update.

Manchester City's Ayyoub Bouaddi is 18 and already 80 OVR, so he can play straight away. Barcelona's Marc Bernal is a similar profile. On a tight budget, Kennet Eichhorn and Nathan De Cat give you the same 88 potential for far less. fifacm lists Eichhorn as 16.

Nico Paz and Kenan Yıldız both start at 84 OVR with 89 potential. Yıldız earns €39K a week, less than half of Paz's €98K. Aleksey Batrakov, listed at Galatasaray with 79 OVR and 86 POT, is a handy target for a Süper Lig save. Francis Onyeka is listed on loan at Elversberg.

Arda Güler is not in this table because fifacm lists his main position as RM, with CAM as an alternative.

What to look for in a young midfielder

System fit: With a single holding midfielder, pick a CDM suited to the "Holding" role. In a double pivot, a CM with "Box-To-Box" or "Deep-Lying Playmaker" fit makes more sense.
Minutes: Potential is not fixed in FC 27; form and the development profile can move the ceiling. Young midfielders need regular games.
Wages: Cheap players usually earn little. Eichhorn is on €9.7K a week and De Cat on €10K.
