FC 27 TOTY Release Date: When Is Team of the Year?

There is no official FC 27 TOTY release date yet: as of 25 October 2026, EA has not announced when Team of the Year arrives. Based on the last four years, the first TOTY items should land on Friday 15 January 2027, or Friday 22 January 2027 at the latest.

That is an estimate, not an EA announcement. Below we have collected the voting, reveal and release dates for every year from FIFA 23 to FC 26, with sources. The FC 27 projection is based entirely on that table, and we will update this page once EA confirms the schedule.

FC 27 TOTY release date: official status

EA SPORTS FC 27 launched on 25 September 2026, and Ultimate Team is currently in its early-season promos. Team of the Year is the biggest campaign of the year and has arrived in January every year. For FC 27, the nominees, voting window and release date are all still unannounced. FIFPlay lists every date as TBA, while RealSport101's FC 27 promo calendar lists 15 January 2027 as an expected date and makes clear it is speculation.

Past TOTY dates (FIFA 23 to FC 26)

These dates come from EA announcements and the gaming outlets that reported them. Where sources differ by a day, the differences are explained below the table.

Game	Voting	Squad revealed	First TOTY items	Full squad in packs	12th player
FIFA 23	10 – 16/17 Jan 2023	19 Jan 2023 (Thursday)	20 Jan 2023 (Friday, attackers)	From 26 Jan 2023	Vote opened 23 Jan
FC 24	8 – 15 Jan 2024	18 Jan 2024 (Thursday)	19 Jan 2024 (Friday, attackers)	Midfielders 21, defenders 23 Jan; in packs until 2 Feb	26 Jan 2024
FC 25	6 – 12 Jan 2025	16 Jan 2025 (Thursday)	17 Jan 2025 (Friday, attackers)	23 – 31 Jan 2025	24 Jan 2025
FC 26	7 – 12 Jan 2026	15 Jan 2026 (Thursday)	16 Jan 2026 (Friday, attackers)	22 – 30 Jan 2026	23 Jan 2026 (vote 17–20 Jan)

The pattern is clear. Voting opens in the first or second week of January and runs for about a week. The squad is usually revealed on a Thursday, and the first items (the attackers) go into packs the next day, a Friday. Midfielders and then defenders and goalkeepers follow every two days, and the full squad stays in packs for roughly a week.

Small differences between sources

For FIFA 23, the vote is reported as closing either on the evening of 16 January or the morning of 17 January, depending on time zone. For FC 24, Dexerto dates the nominee announcement to 7 January and FIFPlay to 8 January; FIFPlay has the squad reveal on 18 January, while EA's social post is dated 19 January. For FC 25, EA's press release is dated 16 January and says attackers arrive "from tomorrow", meaning 17 January.

FC 26 TOTY schedule: the latest example

The previous game is the best guide for FC 27. In FC 26, voting opened on 7 January on EA's official TOTY website and in-game, and for the first time fans could also vote through EA SPORTS FC's social channels. That year also introduced the men's and women's TOTY Captain award, won by Kylian Mbappé and Lucy Bronze.

Stage	Date (GMT)
Voting (web and in-game)	7 – 12 January
Squads and captains revealed	15 January
TOTY attackers	16 – 18 January
TOTY midfielders	18 – 20 January
TOTY defenders and goalkeeper	20 – 22 January
Full men's and women's TOTY XI	22 – 30 January
12th player vote	17 January 18:00 – 20 January 17:59
Honourable Mentions and 12th players	23 – 30 January

FC 26's men's TOTY: Donnarumma; Koundé, Saliba, Van Dijk, Nuno Mendes; Pedri, Rice, Vitinha; Dembélé, Haaland, Mbappé (captain).

Expected FC 27 TOTY schedule

The dates below are an inference from previous years, not a schedule announced by EA. In January 2027 the Fridays fall on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Since the first items have arrived on the Friday between 16 and 20 January in each of the last four years, the closest candidate is 15 January and the next is 22 January.

Stage	FC 27 expectation (not official)	Based on
Nominees and voting	First half of January 2027	In the last four years voting opened between 6 and 10 January and closed between 12 and 17 January
Squad reveal	Around Thursday 14 January 2027	In FIFA 23, FC 25 and FC 26 the reveal came on the Thursday before the first items
First TOTY items (attackers)	Friday 15 January 2027; if later, Friday 22 January	First items arrived on the Friday between 16 and 20 January in each of the last four years
12th player	About a week after the first items	In FC 24, FC 25 and FC 26 the 12th player arrived 7 days after the first items

EA usually confirms the dates when voting opens. In FC 26, the 7 January voting announcement also said the captains would be revealed on 15 January and the items would arrive on 16 January. So the exact FC 27 schedule will most likely become clear in the first week of January 2027.

How to prepare for TOTY

• Save packs and coins: TOTY items arrive in short positional waves. In FC 26, attackers, midfielders and defenders/goalkeepers each had a two-day window.
• Don't miss the vote: In FC 26 the vote was open for about five days, and the captain vote was only available on EA's official TOTY website.
• 12th player vote: In recent years the 12th player has been chosen in a separate vote after the main squad and added to packs about a week after the first items.
