It's been a long time since Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 launched, and players have experienced a whole new way to play the game thanks to major changes to traditional Battle Royale gameplay and the introduction of three new game modes: LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing. While this season's latest fixes brought Winterfest 2023 and some balance changes across all game modes, we hadn't seen a big update until now. The first major update arrived with the Fortnite 28.10 patch notes. The new update brings new content to LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and Battle Royale modes. Fortnite 28.10 Patch Notes: Battle Pass Styles

The latest 28.10 patch reveals super level styles for Battle Pass outfits in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, which players can now claim after collecting all their Bonus Rewards. These styles can be claimed by spending 25 Battle Stars per level after level 150, up to unlocking the final style at level 200.

Three styles are available for five Battle Pass outfits: Expressionist, Prismatic Terazzo, and Glasswork. The outfits that don't get super level styles are Peter Griffin and Underground Jones.

The update also brings a new Weekly Quest set for Week 8 that unlocks a Quest Rewards section featuring the highly anticipated Petercopter glider and more. Players need to complete a certain number of quests and own the Battle Pass to unlock the cosmetics.

Fortnite 28.10 Patch Notes: Solid Snake Skin and New Skins

The update also unlocked the Solid Snake outfit, which Battle Pass owners can obtain by completing a series of special quests. Every cosmetic item in the Solid Snake set can now be unlocked after completing a quest.

Ten new outfits added to the game files will soon appear in the Fortnite Item Shop. This includes the Raiden outfit from the Metal Gear Solid collaboration, which players will be able to purchase in the future. A new TMNT collaboration outfit for Shredder is also expected to release. Players can expect all TMNT cosmetics to return to the shop.

Map Changes

The Fortnite 28.10 update also brings a significant change to the Chapter 5 Season 1 map by melting the snow that Winterfest 2023 brought to the island. Some maps that were once entirely covered in snow will now see a change in their biome.

New Weapons and Items

Two new items seen in the Chapter 5 Season 1 trailer, the EMP Stealth Camo and Cardboard Box, are finally being added to the game, letting players choose stealth as an infiltration strategy at the map's Society Mansions. Although the EMP Stealth Camo has a cooldown, it has unlimited uses, helping with stealth as a long-term strategy. You can't attack while the EMP Stealth Camo is active, but you can disable it early by unequipping it, swapping it for another item in your inventory, or simply deactivating it. When you deactivate the device, it will release an EMP effect, damaging enemy Shields and stopping nearby vehicles.

The new update removes The Anvil Rocket Launcher's crate. Lock onto a vehicle target and fire a rocket in that direction. The Anvil Rocket Launcher can be found on the ground and from Chests, and can be purchased from Mecha Team Shadow in exchange for Bars.

Fortnite New Update 2024!

LEGO Fortnite Content Update

This Fortnite update brings Launch Pads to LEGO Fortnite, which players can craft and build onto their own creations. In addition, several outfits finally received the LEGO style, and players can now see them in the locker and Item Shop before equipping them in LEGO Fortnite.

New Rocket Racing Content

The new update brings Drift Smoke to Rocket Racing, which players can unlock by completing Season Zero Tune Up quests or purchasing it from the Item Shop. Rocket Racing also received two new tracks that you can now experience by playing the game, along with major gameplay changes.

Balance Changes

• The Enforcer AR received a slight increase to bullet velocity, damage, and headshot damage (and a decrease in bullet drop)
• The Reaper Sniper Rifle had a slight decrease in bullet velocity (and an increase in bullet drop).
• The Hyper SMG's bullet spread was tightened, increasing overall accuracy.
• The Ballistic Shield received a slight decrease in the damage needed to stagger its holder.
• Storm circle speed, sprint speed, and Energy regeneration were reverted to match the same speed as Chapter 4.

Miscellaneous Changes

• Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause players to be randomly eliminated while walking along a cliff edge in Haughty Hollow.
• Fixed an issue that could cause your crosshair to drift in another direction while sliding and aiming down sights with a scoped Sniper Rifle.
• Added an FOV Slider to customize the minimum and maximum settings.
• Fixed an issue where using the same emote as a nearby player could cause you to face the wrong direction.
• The EMP Stealth Camo, Cardboard Boxes, and The Anvil Rocket Launcher are not included in tournaments.
