LoL Patch 12.10 PBE Notes: The Durability Update

The 12.10 patch PBE that LoL players have been eagerly waiting for has now shown up on the server. The balance changes Riot Games announced in recent weeks look set to arrive with us in patch 12.10. As much as Riot Games has said, the changing balance looks set to shake up the game's meta from top to bottom. Let's take a look together at what balance changes have appeared in LoL patch 12.10. LoL Patch 12.10 Balance Changes

All Champions

Base stats

• Base health increased by 70
• Health per level increased by 14
• Armor per level increased by 1.2
• Magic resist per level increased by 0.8

Healing

• Reduced by 10-28% depending on champion

Shielding

• Reduced by 10% on average

Systems

Baron Nashor

• Attack Damage: 125 + 8 per minute ⇒ 150 + 10 per minute

Grievous Wounds

• Base reduced from 40% to 30%
• Enhanced reduced from 60% to 50%

Magic and Armor Penetration Items

• Reduced by 5-10% depending on item

Healing Systems (Items, Runes)

• Reduced by 10-28% depending on item or rune

Shielding Systems (Items, Runes)

• Reduced by 10% on average

Turrets

Outer Turret AD: 152-278 ⇒ 167-391 Inner Turret AD: 170-305 ⇒ 187-427 Inhibitor Turret AD: 170-305 ⇒ 187-427 Nexus Turret AD: 150-285 ⇒ 165-405 Damage to minions unchanged

The Massive Durability Update Will Shake Up the Meta!

Literally the biggest patch in League of Legends history. As Riot targets the high-damage meta that took hold of the game in Season 12, every champion, half the item shop, and a number of runes are being overhauled. This is being called the "durability update," and developers hope it will increase individual champion durability and cut down on the amount of burst kills in the game. In an announcement on May 6, the developers said, "While tons of damage is fun and exciting, we believe boosting champions' defensive stats will give players more opportunities for counterplay against them, helping them show off their skills and have their best moments."

This includes boosting base defensive stats and removing some offensive abilities, as well as healing and shielding. Other mechanics like Grievous Wounds are also being updated to compensate for the sweeping changes.

When Will LoL Patch 12.10 Arrive?

Based on the schedule shared at the start of the year, we expect League of Legends patch 12.10 to arrive with us on May 25. No delays have been reported by Riot Games at this time, and we expect it to go live on the planned date and time.
