How Many Prestige Skins Are Coming to LoL in 2022?

Up until 2022, players had to collect both gemstones and Prestige Points to get all the legendary content their hearts desired. But that's about to change in mid-2022.

In the latest 2022 League of Legends livestream, players finally learned how Riot will change the Prestige system in 2022 and how you'll earn legendary content instead this year. Is Prestige acquisition coming with a new currency in 2022? Which Prestige skins are releasing in 2022?

New LoL Currency Revealed!

In 2022, we're getting a new currency players can use to get legendary content — this includes Prestige skins. This means Prestige Points will be phased out at some point this year and replaced with Mythic Essence.

Mythic Essence will take the place of the gemstones used to craft Hextech skins. When the Mythic Essence change goes live, players should use up all their Prestige Points, since they won't carry over, and gemstones will be converted into Mythic Essence.

Just like with previous chests, you'll be able to earn Mythic Essence through Masterwork tiers and Masterwork chests, the same way you could previously with Prestige Points.

Which LoL Prestige Skins Are Coming? 2022

Riot said they'll be taking the three quarterly skins out of the vault right away, meaning there will be 6 skins to collect:

K/DA Kai'Sa Prestige Edition (200 ME, an exclusive version is given to original owners)

PROJECT: Irelia Prestige Edition (150 ME, an exclusive version is given to original owners)

Pulsefire Thresh Prestige Edition (150 ME, an exclusive version is given to original owners)

Arcanist Zoe Prestige Edition (125 ME)

Spirit Blossom Teemo Prestige Edition (125 ME)

Battle Queen Diana Prestige Edition (125 ME)
