What Are Sony's Treat Codes?

Sony has launched a kind of scavenger hunt game, sending hopeful PlayStation fans on the trail of 14 unique codes. Sony named these codes "Treat Codes." The catch is that these codes can turn up at any time, anywhere, online or in the real world. The "Treat Codes" will resemble control inputs like L1, R1, Up, Down, and so on. In a blog post, Sony said, "Starting today, 14 unique code sequences resembling PlayStation controller inputs will appear in unexpected places all over the world, online, on social media channels, and at high-profile events involving sports, gaming, film and music." Sony hinted that entrants should keep an eye on streamers playing PlayStation games in the coming weeks. The company also said each code won't be shown just once, and some may repeat, giving entrants extra chances to score a PS5.

How Do You Enter Treat Codes?

• To take part, entrants first need to sign up on the Treat Codes page .
• Then find a code, enter it on PlayStation.com's Treat Codes page, and complete the assigned task by answering a question.
• If an entrant gets the answer right, they'll be rewarded with a chance to win a PS5. Each code offers only one chance to win a PS5. Finding a unique code doesn't guarantee you a console.

When Will the Treat Codes Event End?

The Treat Codes event will end on March 7.
