Clash of Clans Season Challenges: Free Tier vs Gold Pass
Clash of Clans Season Challenges let players earn up to 30 rewards through the Gold Pass, which costs 84.99 TL per season.
- Clash of Clans Season Challenges unlock automatically for Town Hall 7 and above, offering 3 daily and 24 monthly tasks.
- The Gold Pass costs 84.99 TL and raises the Season Bank cap from 5 million to 25 million Gold/Elixir and to 250,000 Dark Elixir.
- Gold Pass Perks include Builder Boost, Research Boost, and Training Boost, each with 10%, 15%, and 20% tiers.
Season Challenges is a Clash of Clans feature that lets players complete tasks and unlock special rewards. This feature was introduced in the Spring 2019 update. Players can access the Season Challenges menu by tapping the silver/gold shield icon to the right of the Attack button. The color of the shield icon depends on whether the player has bought the Gold Pass.
Completing Challenges
There are two types of challenges: 3 Daily Tasks that refresh every day, and 24 Monthly Tasks that unlock every week (6 new tasks each week).
The whole feature works similarly to Clan Games, but is done individually. However, unlike Clan Games, you don't need to pick a challenge — all you have to do is play the normal game, and since your progress is tracked automatically, the challenges will be completed.
Since you can't select a challenge, all the challenges are available and can be completed at the same time. Because of this, you can't "throw away" a Challenge or swap it out like in Clan Games. There's no way to skip or swap a challenge you don't like.
Season Challenges automatically unlock for all players with Town Hall 7 or higher. You can access them using the Season Challenges shortcut next to the "Attack" button.
Challenge Points
Completing challenges will reward you with a new currency called Challenge Points. These points go toward a kind of "Challenges Road" (similar to Brawl Stars' Trophy Road) where you can track your progress and collect actual rewards. There are up to 30 rewards on the road.
What Is the Free Tier? 2022
There are two Season Challenge tiers: Free and Gold Pass.
The Free Tier is completely free and accessible to all Clashers. Every player gets free rewards at this tier — you don't need to pay or do anything else to start getting free rewards. All you have to do is play the game and collect the rewards.
Free Tier features:
- 15 rewards (Magic Items and Resources)
- Season Bank storage: 5 million Gold/Elixir and 50,000 Dark Elixir
What Is the Gold Pass? 2022
If you want to get amazing rewards, you can buy the Gold Pass. The Gold Pass costs 84.99 TL and unlocks the Gold tier for the current season.
The Gold tier includes all the Free Tier rewards, plus:
- 30 rewards (Magic Items and Resources)
- Season Bank storage: 25 million Gold/Elixir and 250,000 Dark Elixir
- Access to a Hero skin as the final, exclusive reward
- Special Perks
Season Bank
The Season Bank is a Season Challenges-exclusive resource storage that doubles your loot until it reaches capacity. While playing the game and raiding enemy villages, an equal amount of the resources you loot from enemy bases also goes into the Season Bank.
Example: If you loot 500 Dark Elixir from an enemy, 500 goes into the normal storage in your village + 500 goes into the Season Bank.
The Season Bank is open to all players on both the Free and Gold tiers; however, the amount of resources it holds differs by tier:
- Free Tier: 5 million Gold/Elixir and 50,000 Dark Elixir
- Gold Tier: 25 million Gold/Elixir and 250,000 Dark Elixir
Even though the final cap with the Gold Pass is 25 million, you need to collect Challenge Points and unlock the "Bigger Season Bank" reward to reach the maximum capacity.
Resources in the Season Bank are automatically added to your normal storages the first time you log in after the season ends. If there isn't enough room to store all the resources, the storages will overflow so nothing is lost. Keep in mind that you won't be able to collect resources from Mines and Collectors, or loot enemy bases, while your storages are full and/or overflowing. Because of this, plan and leave a Builder free to start an upgrade or spend resources on walls once the season ends.
What Are the Special Perks of the Gold Tier?
With the Gold Tier, you can also unlock special Perks that must be earned on the "Challenges Road" and that work as very special boosts until the end of the season:
- 1 Gem Donate: You can donate Troops, Spells, and Siege Machines for a single Gem.
- Builder Boost: Reduces the time and cost to start an upgrade (including Walls). It has 3 tiers: 10%, 15%, and 20%. The time reduction applies when you start construction, and the timer doesn't change later if you unlock a new level (a better boost) or lose the boost when the season ends.
- Research Boost: Reduces the time and resources needed to upgrade Troops, Spells, and Siege Machines in the Laboratory. It has 3 tiers: 10%, 15%, and 20%.
- Training Boost: Reduces training time for Troops, Spells, and Siege Machines, and cooldown time for all Heroes. It has 3 tiers: 10%, 15%, and 20%.
