FC 27 Career Mode Best Teams to Manage and Rebuild

The FC 27 Career Mode best teams depend on the save you want: Real Madrid or Manchester City for instant trophies, Schalke 04, Leicester City or Deportivo La Coruña for a long rebuild, and Sabadell or Arezzo for a true rags-to-riches climb.

FC 27 Career Mode best teams: what to look for

Career Mode's economy changed in FC 27. EA's Career Deep Dive says the Transfer Market was rebuilt around TransferRoom's Expected Transfer Value (xTV), with values moving over seasons based on form and league strength. Ratings also move with Dynamic OVR, driven by form, morale and match fitness. So when choosing a club, consider:

• Budget and wage bill: guides recommend trimming wages in your first window before adding players.
• Squad age: ageing stars can drop quickly under Dynamic OVR, while a young core pays off in long saves.
• League: Liga MX (Liga BBVA MX) joined Career Mode in FC 27 if you want something new.

Instant title contenders (5 stars)

According to AllThingsHow's and GAMES.GG's guides from September 21-22, these clubs can chase trophies from day one:

Sleeping giants to rebuild

From Dexerto's FC 27 list and AllThingsHow's picks:

• Schalke 04 (Bundesliga, newly promoted): a seven-time German champion. The best players are Robin Gosens and 40-year-old Edin Džeko (both 78), followed by Loris Karius (74). Expect to replace the squad gradually after season one.
• Leicester City (League One, 3 stars, $13.70M): a former Premier League champion after two relegations. Team rating 69, led by Wout Faes (74), Wes Burns and Harry Souttar (72). Guides suggest shedding high earners and climbing two divisions.
• Deportivo La Coruña (LaLiga): a former LaLiga winner back in the top flight. Yeremay (77 OVR, 86 pace) is the future star; 37-year-old Aubameyang (79) needs a successor.
• Valencia (LaLiga): team rating 76 and an average age of 26.3. Javi Guerra (77) is the clearest long-term piece. A mid-level project with no relegation fight.
• Sampdoria (Serie B): a former Serie A champion. Salvatore Esposito and Yari Verschaeren (74) are the long-term options.
• Manchester United, Juventus, Ajax and Napoli: per AllThingsHow, clubs with money and reputation that need smart recruitment to return to consistent success.

Rags to riches: low-budget clubs

Wrexham (aiming for the Premier League from the Championship), Como (Cesc Fàbregas's ambitious project) and Paris FC (taking on PSG) round out the list.

Other saves worth trying, including Galatasaray

AllThingsHow recommends Galatasaray as a save with an immediate Süper Lig title challenge and a longer push for regular Champions League football. For youth development, Borussia Dortmund (Jobe Bellingham, Karim Adeyemi, Jamie Gittens) and Ajax stand out, while Aston Villa is a solid middle ground for chasing Europe. We could not verify FC 27 budgets for Süper Lig clubs in a reliable database, so they are not in the tables. For past picks, see our EA FC 24 best career mode teams guide.
