EA Sports has been flooding us with content lately! The day right after Winter Wildcards, FIFA 22's best promo so far, the Icon Swaps (that is, the Icon Swap players) dropped. So what is Icon Swaps? Which players can you earn in Icon Swaps? How do you complete the Icon Swaps objectives? What are the rewards for Icon Swaps? We've laid out everything you need to know about Icon Swaps in this article!
What Is FIFA 22 Icon Swaps?
Icon Swaps is a fantastic event that lets us FIFA players earn the Icons of our dreams by grinding and putting in effort, instead of buying them from packs with coins or FIFA Points. The best part of this promo is that you get a shot at cards you couldn't get even by spending 400-500 TL, just by putting in 2-3 days of your time. The game offers certain objectives, and as you complete them, you earn swap tokens with an overall rating of 60. You then spend those swap tokens on various SBCs and get that SBC's reward without giving up anything else. That SBC can be an Icon, a pack, or an Icon pack.
What Are the FIFA 22 Icon Swaps Rewards?
Just like the last 3 years, this year's Swaps rewards are made up more of mid and lower-tier Icons rather than top-tier ones. But that's no reason to overlook how great these rewards are.
NOTE: Each token means one player earned from the objectives you complete.

- 81+ x25 pack: 2 tokens
- 82+ x25 pack: 3 tokens
- 83+ x25 pack: 5 tokens
- Base or mid Icon pack: 8 tokens
- Mid Icon pack: 10 tokens
- 89+ mid Icon pack: 13 tokens
- Base or mid Icon player pick: 14 tokens
- Mid or prime Icon pack: 16 tokens
- Base, mid, or prime Icon player pick: 17 tokens
What Are the FIFA 22 Icon Swaps Objectives?
We've covered the rewards. Now let's move on to the objectives, which you can also see under Objectives. Each of these objectives will give you one Icon Swaps player, which you can then use in an SBC.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Icon Swaps players are always released in different periods. The first 9 come out within the first 40 days, and the other 9 players come out within the next 40 days. So if you want something that requires more than 9 tokens, you'll need to hold on to your players for the second batch of players and objectives 40 days later.
Icon Swaps Objectives
You'll earn one token for each item below. (6 in total)
- Silvers: Win 6 Squad Battles matches on at least World Class difficulty with 11 Silver players in your starting XI!
- EFL Championship: Win 6 Squad Battles matches on at least World Class difficulty with 11 Championship players in your starting XI!
- Liga Portugal: Win 6 Squad Battles matches on at least World Class difficulty with 11 Portuguese league players in your starting XI!
- Azzurri: Win 6 Squad Battles matches on at least World Class difficulty with 11 Italian players in your starting XI!
- One club wonders: Win 6 Squad Battles matches on at least World Class difficulty with 11 one-club (first owner, pulled from a pack) players in your starting XI!
- Weekend League: Win 13 Weekend League matches. (This includes WL qualifiers too.)
Icon Swaps Premier League Objective
You'll earn 1 token once you complete these 3 objectives.
- Win six: Win 6 matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League with at least 8 first-owner Premier League players in your starting XI.
- Finesse six: Score a finesse shot goal with Premier League players in 6 different matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League.
- Assist 10: Assist with Premier League players in 10 different matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League.
Icon Swaps Bundesliga Objective
You'll earn 1 token once you complete these 3 objectives.
- Win six: Win 6 matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League with at least 8 first-owner Bundesliga players in your starting XI.
- Score 10: Score with Bundesliga players in 10 different matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League.
- Through assist 5: Assist with a through ball using Bundesliga players in 5 different matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League.
Icon Swaps Ligue 1 Objective
You'll earn 1 token once you complete these 3 objectives.
- Win six: In 6 matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League, win with at least 8 first-owner Ligue 1 players in your starting XI.
- Score 10: Score with Ligue 1 players in 10 different matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League.
- Through assist 5: Assist with a through ball using Ligue 1 players in 5 different matches in Live FUT Friendly: One League.
What's the Best FIFA 22 Icon Swaps Combination?
We think the best combination is definitely not waiting 40 days with the first 9 tokens you earn, and instead opening the 82+ x25 pack (3 tokens) and the 83+ x25 pack (5 tokens) to boost the number of high-overall players on your squad. Even if these 2 untradeable packs don't give you anyone playable for your squad, you can still comfortably use the high-rated players you get from them in SBCs during the TOTY (Team of the Year) period. With the other 10 tokens, you can try your luck opening a Mid Icon pack after the 40 days pass. Who knows? Maybe Eusebio, Pele, or Ronaldo are waiting for you :)
