GTA 6 Original Score by Justice out December 11

The GTA 6 Original Score has a release date. Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score by Justice arrives on December 11 on streaming services, double CD and triple vinyl. A new track, Pusher, is out today.

That is just over three weeks after the game launches on November 19. Grammy-winning French electronic duo Justice composed the game's mission music, and this release is separate from GTA 6: The Album, which arrives on launch day.

What is on the GTA 6 Original Score?

According to the official details reported by IGN, the album features 30 tracks, plus a number of digital bonus tracks included across all formats. Together they make up a roughly three-hour suite of material from the game. Rockstar has not said how many bonus tracks there are.

Two tracks are already known. The first is Flower in a Hurricane, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, as heard in the GTA 6 launch trailer. IGN notes it reached number 62 on the Billboard Hot 100, Justice's first non-feature song to make the chart.

The second is Pusher, released today. It features fellow French electronic artist Gesaffelstein and marks the pair's first collaboration. Rockstar presents it as a preview of the instrumental side of the score.

Formats and prices

The score will be on all major music streaming services. There are three physical options, and Justice's official site says all physical formats include bonus content.

These are US pre-order prices reported by Vice, with pre-orders open through Rough Trade. Rockstar itself has not listed prices.

How will the music work in the game?

Rockstar says Justice, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, worked closely with its team to match the game's themes and the story of Jason and Lucia. The score is dynamically tuned to game events, reacting to how players engage with the people and places across Leonida.

De Rosnay said the game's scope was so large, both geographically and thematically, that the music had to be very broad in emotion, genre and texture. The duo say they were given the freedom to explore as much as they needed.

Gematsu notes that a pre-save option is already live, and IGN adds that Flower in a Hurricane debuted at number 34 on the US Alternative Radio chart.

How is it different from GTA 6: The Album?

Do not mix the two up. VGC reports that GTA 6: The Album launches with the game on November 19 and contains 34 new tracks from artists including Travis Scott, Keith Richards, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, PinkPantheress and Yung Lean. Justice's score is mainly instrumental. Rockstar has also previewed some in-game radio stations in the Music section of the official GTA 6 site.
