If you normally browse Reddit through the desktop website on your PC, you can use the method below to create a post to your own profile or to a specific subreddit.

  • You can start a new Reddit post in two ways. You can create a post from your home page, or you can go to the subreddit you want to post to and create a post from there.
  • From the home page, after logging in at Reddit.com: Select the Create Post text box at the top of your screen. Choose the subreddit you want to post to from the Choose a community dropdown menu.
  • From an actual subreddit: Go to the subreddit you want to post to. Once you're in the subreddit, you can start your post in one of two ways. Select the Create Post text box at the top of the subreddit page, or click Create Post in the subreddit's sidebar, located on the right side of the screen.
  • After choosing a community or your own profile, select the type of post you want to create (text, image/video, link, etc.). Then add a title or other text if needed.
  • Review your post and make sure it fits the subreddit. Finally, to share the post, click the "Post" option.
