LoL Patch 12.21 Meta Champions by Role (November 2022)

LoL patch 12.21 arrived on the official servers this morning. Players facing a fresh patch naturally want to follow the new meta. When they search for the new meta, though, they can't see anything fully clear yet. So we decided to list the champions with high early pick rates and equally high win rates. If you're ready, let's move on to our new article featuring the 12.21 meta. Here are the LoL 12.21 meta champions!

Who Are the LoL 12.21 Meta Champions?

Top Lane

Shen

We hadn't seen Shen on any tier list for a long time. So we were surprised to see Shen in the S- tier after our research. Looking into why, we saw that Shen received a small update. After the update to his ultimate, it seems to have strengthened him a bit. Shen is already tailor-made for someone who knows how to play him. But now he greets us strengthened even for someone who plays the champion at an average level. If you don't get too aggressive in lane and calmly complete your laning phase, you can become a champion capable of carrying the game or, at worst, tanking all the damage.

Jungle

Nidalee

Nidalee's human-form W cost was reduced, the mana cost of E was reduced at later stages and its usage range was increased. In addition, the damage radius of Cougar W was increased. This doesn't mean much for players who don't know how to use both of Nidalee's forms efficiently, but Nidalee is an outstanding champion with crazy mobility and healing on Summoner's Rift. The fact that the cougar form's abilities are especially free of cost attracts many players. Human-form Nidalee's Q ability deals quite considerable damage from long distances. If you have aiming skill, picking this champion will work in your favor.

Mid Lane

Pyke

Now to the strongest mid lane champion in this patch. In patch 12.21 there is a champion that dominates quite a lot, especially in the mid lane. As you might guess, this champion is Pyke. If you haven't played Pyke in years or are seeing him for the first time, we definitely recommend staying away, because Pyke is an assassin champion and you need to practice on him. Just like Fizz, this champion needs to be played by people with good aim.

Now you may ask me why someone with good aim needs to play him. Or you might say, dear FireGhost, why are you questioning our aim in a game that isn't an FPS? You are quite right, but abilities like Pyke's Q and our champion Fizz's ultimate need to be thrown at the opponent with proper aim. If you miss these abilities, you are very likely to flip the fate of the game the opposite way. So if your aim is already good, you shouldn't miss these champions in the mid lane in LoL patch 12.21.

ADC

Jhin

Jhin has been the choice of many people who need a fun and unique ADC to play. Although he is quite different from other ADCs, his long-range shots deal tons of damage to enemy champions. For the support champion, Sona will be a great choice overall, since with her ultimate she can heal, attack and even stun. Those who like playing Jhin will love this patch a lot. In this patch Jhin comes out as the number 1 meta champion among marksmen. If you can spend his bullets properly, your late-game victory will be inevitable.

Support

Blitzcrank

Blitzcrank is a champion that people who have improved their aim can play with his superior abilities. I'm not joking about aim at all. His Q ability can only be hit with great skill and great targeting. Even if it does something bad by pulling the opponent next to their marksman, a Q thrown from a proper position can change the course of the game a lot. So anyone who is going to pick this champion would do well to lock in their choice with such situations in mind.
