Why Is LoL Elise Getting a Visual Update?
Elise is a fairly old champion, released almost a decade ago. She's getting up there in age, and that means she needs a bit of love from the visual design department. She looks outdated, and new skins don't get her old model. In other words, it's time for a facelift.
Which Abilities Will Riot Focus On Updating Visually?
Her entire kit will get a visual overhaul. Cocoon, Rappel, Neurotoxin and Volatile Spiderling will all look fresh thanks to the visual improvements the spider lady is getting in 2022.
E - Cocoon will have a much more precise hitbox, similar to the changes made during Vel'Koz's update.
Her base skin's basic attacks will also get some changes. They'll be much more colorful and easier to notice. Fortunately, since these changes let us see her attacks better, they'll make her easier to play.
Will Elise's Skins Also Be Updated?
Not only will her abilities and base model get visual improvements, but a few of her skins will also get some love.

When Will Elise Get Her Visual Update?
The visual update will be released with the upcoming patch. So expect Elise to feel much cleaner when League of Legends Patch 12.5 releases on March 2, 2022. This patch will also bring some updates for Master Yi, and unfortunately, it's not the update that deletes him.
