The PGL Masters Bucharest quarter-final bracket is set. NAVI grabbed the last playoff spot by beating Spirit 2-1 and now face Vitality, while Aurora meet MOUZ. All four quarter-finals are played today, October 29.

PGL Masters Bucharest quarter-final schedule

The event is a studio tournament in Bucharest, Romania. As Insider Gaming points out, there is no rest day between the Swiss stage and the playoffs, so teams go straight into the single-elimination bracket.

HLTV lists the quarter-finals in this order:

Aurora-MOUZ and BETBOOM-FURIA sit on one half of the bracket. FUT-Nemiga and Vitality-NAVI make up the other half. The grand final is a best-of-five series.

How did NAVI take the last spot from Spirit?

Natus Vincere were the final team through. HLTV reports that NAVI won Cache 13-2 and Anubis 13-3, with a 10-13 loss on Dust2 in between. It was only their third win over Spirit in fifteen meetings across almost three years.

makazze and w0nderful led the way. HLTV highlights a flashy AWP four-kill from w0nderful on 1 HP that sent Spirit into a spiral on Anubis. donk finished that map with a 0.41 rating, one of the lowest LAN map ratings of his career. Spirit, a pre-tournament favourite, are out.

This is NAVI's first playoff run since their title at IEM Atlanta. The reward is a rematch with Vitality, who beat them comfortably in the group stage.

YEKINDAR carries FURIA past Liquid

FURIA beat Liquid 2-0, taking Nuke 13-11 and Inferno 13-5. HLTV credits YEKINDAR with three crucial rounds won with just a Five-SeveN. He ended the series with a 1.75 rating and 100.5 ADR.

The Inferno score stands out because Liquid were 9-1 on the map before this match. FURIA now face BETBOOM, a rematch of their five-map grand final at the Thunderpick World Championship.

What to watch in Aurora vs MOUZ

HLTV calls Aurora vs MOUZ the headline tie. Both new lineups have reached the world's top five after a run of deep finishes this season. Aurora field XANTARES, woxic, Jimpphat, kyxsan and Wicadia, and they reached the playoffs at 3-1 after a 2-1 win over Liquid.

The winner meets FURIA or BETBOOM in the semi-finals. On the other side, tournament surprise Nemiga open the day against FUT.

Other storylines from the Swiss stage

• BETBOOM beat both Spirit and NAVI on their way to the playoffs (Insider Gaming).
• FUT are thriving in SunPayus's first event with the team.
• Vitality are playing without apEX, with mezii calling in the meantime.
• G2 and Legacy went out early, and Legacy have benched n1ssim.

A quick recap of the Swiss stage. FUT and BETBOOM went through 3-0, while Aurora qualified at 3-1. Nemiga, FURIA and NAVI then won their 2-2 deciders on the final day, which knocked out Spirit, Liquid and The MongolZ. G2, 9z, Legacy and DENDELE had already gone home. G2 are the biggest disappointment. Insider Gaming argues that benching SunPayus and adding r1nkle has hurt the team, and the PGL Singapore Major is not far away.
