What Are VALORANT Omen's Abilities?

In general, Omen's abilities revolve around supporting his team's strategy and keeping the enemy on edge by constantly leaving them to guess where the shadowy figure is.

C Ability — Shrouded Step (150 Credits): EQUIP a shadow walk ability and display the range indicator. FIRE to teleport to the marked location after a short delay. Q Ability — Paranoia (300 Credits): INSTANTLY fire a shadow projectile forward. It briefly limits the vision range of everyone it touches. This projectile can pass directly through walls. E Ability — Dark Cover (150 Credits, 1 free, 40s cooldown): EQUIP a shadow orb and display the range indicator. FIRE to throw the shadow orb to the marked location. It creates a long-lasting shadow orb that blocks vision. While aiming, HOLD ALTERNATE FIRE to move the marker farther away, and HOLD the ability key to bring the marker closer. X (Ultimate) Ability — From the Shadows (7 Points): EQUIP a tactical map. FIRE to begin teleporting to the selected location. While teleporting, Omen takes on a Shade form, and enemies can cancel the teleport by destroying it. Let's start with the objective in the room. Omen's Ultimate is great when used properly. But be careful, doing so is like mastering a fine art. You want to change where you teleport in order to keep your enemies on their toes.

This lets Omen ultimately serve three purposes. One, you can use it to gather info with the limited vision it gives you before you cancel. Two, you can dive into the back lines when chaos breaks out. Or three, you can use it to fake and go to another site. Either way, you will need to pick the best option to catch the enemy off guard.

How Do You Play Omen in VALORANT?

Omen's kit feels like it does a bit of everything. He is good on both attack and defense, which has made him one of the strongest agents in the game. He has flashes, and with his Shrouded Steps he can play both passively and aggressively.

His smoke ability lets him reach hard-to-reach places, but it can become predictable after a while, just like his ultimate. If you are using it to get onto high ground, be careful about holding the same angle twice, especially if you have used it successfully before. Omen's smokes also provide another level of flexibility. Since you can dictate where they land, you can lift them into the air and let them fall late for a timed site hit. Just remember that the 15-second smoke timer starts when the smoke has fully spread.

Overall, Omen will play with the team and won't hide. Even so, you won't want to go in first. You want to find a position from which to use your Paranoia to get your allies in, and then follow up behind the lines while watching any flank. Thanks to the long range of all his abilities, he can afford to play a bit farther back from the site on both attack and defense.
