And yes, as you've probably guessed, by "some esports pros" we mean Muj first and foremost. The Turkish player who has worked wonders with the Skye agent played a major role in popularizing Skye in Türkiye. VALORANT Skye Abilities

Skye's kit is all about utility. Whether it's saving allies with healing or helping the team push into sites with plenty of flashes and concussions, Skye can seemingly do it all. None of her kit plays purely for herself — but when it comes down to it, she can also be the selfish Agent you need in a clutch.

Q Ability — Trailblazer (250 Credits): EQUIP a Tasmanian tiger familiar. FIRE to send it forth and gain control of it. While controlling the creature, FIRE again to suddenly lunge forward, causing a concussive blast that damages enemies hit directly. C Ability — Regrowth (200 Credits): EQUIP a healing familiar. HOLD FIRE to channel healing energy and heal teammates within range and line of sight. This ability can be used multiple times until its healing charge is fully spent. Skye cannot heal herself. E Ability — Guiding Light (250 Credits, 40s cooldown): EQUIP a hawk familiar. FIRE to send the hawk forward. HOLD FIRE to steer the hawk toward wherever your crosshair is pointing. RE-USE the ability while the hawk is flying to turn it into a blinding charge; this checks whether an enemy is within range or line of sight. X (Ultimate) Ability — Seekers (7 Points): EQUIP a Seeker familiar. FIRE to send out three Seekers that will each hunt down the nearest of three enemies. When a Seeker reaches its target, it restricts the target's vision. It's pretty clear that Skye is a force to be reckoned with. As an Initiator, she's excellent for scouting the battlefield before your team pushes in, and can tell you exactly where the enemies are (and aren't). The added concussive effect means the Tasmanian tiger has a bit of a bite, too. While her ultimate is similar in spirit to her Initiator kit, it's an essential tool to have on the battlefield. Her Seekers can find any enemy without limit, making it excellent for trying to cover the enemy team. The information you gather can affect where you plant the Spike and let your team collapse on a blinded victim.

How Do You Play Skye in VALORANT?

Skye's Guiding Light is probably the strongest part of her kit. The sound cue from the familiar leaving Skye isn't particularly loud, so it's hard to track. On top of that, Skye has full control over exactly when it pops. That means she can use tiny angles you wouldn't get away with as Phoenix or Breach, letting her use it unpredictably.

They're also far more flexible than every other flash in the game. If you shoot at an enemy while controlling Skye's familiar, it will fly off erratically with a loud sound cue. Use this to your advantage to figure out not just where the enemies are, but where they aren't. Her heal, despite its drawbacks, is probably stronger than Sage's. Healing a whole group of allies far more efficiently than Sage can is great. It makes her excellent for pushes where players might take some splash damage on entry. However, it can be a bit trickier for solo players. Skye's utility is essentially more valuable than any gun in VALORANT. While every other Agent should focus on buying utility before firepower, with Skye it's a must. Simply because it's so powerful, it's worth downgrading your weapons to afford full utility.
