Warhorse Studios, the Czech developer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, says it has been hit by a cyberattack. Attackers gained access to company systems and company data. The full scale of the breach is not yet known.
Key facts
- Studio: Warhorse Studios (Czech Republic)
- Announced: October 27, 2026, on its website and X
- Affected: Company systems and company data
- Status: Investigation with cybersecurity specialists
- Authorities: The incident has been reported
- Leaks: None reported so far
What has Warhorse Studios said?
In a short post on X, Warhorse said it had been hit by a cyberattack. It is working with cybersecurity specialists to secure its systems and understand the full extent of what happened. A longer statement went up on the company's website.
Push Square reports that the statement describes unauthorized access to company systems as well as access to company data. IGN adds that Warhorse has contacted the authorities in an effort to track down the culprits.
CEO Martin Frývaldský called it "a serious incident for Warhorse Studios and everyone affected." He said the immediate priority is to secure systems, establish the full extent of the breach and protect employees, partners and the community.

What data was affected?
Nobody outside the studio knows yet. GamesIndustry.biz reports that Warhorse is not giving interviews or further comment while the investigation continues. It will share more information when it can. That means it is also unclear whether any player data was involved.
Push Square and Insider Gaming both say no leaks had surfaced at the time of writing. Insider Gaming adds there is no sign the attack exposed confidential details about the studio's announced projects.
What is Warhorse working on right now?
According to IGN, the studio has two projects in development. One is a Lord of the Rings game described as an open-world Middle-earth RPG. The other is a new Kingdom Come title, which could be Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 or a spinoff.
Its latest release, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, launched on February 4, 2025, per its Steam page, with Deep Silver as publisher. IGN notes it was a critical and commercial success.
What does it mean for players?
There has been no announcement about game or server disruption. The bigger question is whether development material was taken. PC Gamer suggests a successful attack could lead to the kind of leaks that hit Rockstar ahead of GTA 6. It also stresses that the attackers' goal is not known.
If something did leak, unannounced art or plans could surface ahead of the studio's own marketing schedule. For now, Warhorse says its focus is on securing its systems.
Part of a rough month for game security
Warhorse is not alone. GamesIndustry.biz notes that Capcom suffered a breach affecting more than 11.7 million online accounts last week; see our Capcom data breach report. Rockstar also faced a major leak in September 2022, when 90 in-development GTA 6 clips were released.
