The Ubisoft CEO expects GTA 6 to release after March 2025. During Ubisoft's quarterly review, he was asked what he thought about his company's catalog now that GTA 6 has been officially announced. The question was about whether a release would come before the end of fiscal year 2025, or between January and March of next year for Ubisoft.

Yves Guillemot's response on the matter came without delay:

What we have observed in the past is that whenever a big game like GTA comes out, more and more people come to our industry, and that helps other games sell too. We have noticed that. We are aware of it, and even though we don't know exactly when it will come out, we are planning some things around this game's release. We think the release will land closer to our fiscal year 2026 rather than 2025. We have already said that a release like this is generally quite positive for the market, and that we did good work around the launch of GTA 5 and GTA Online. Every time, we have managed to get very good revenue and profit from the games we release.

Yves Guillemot thinks, or even hopes, that GTA 6 will come out no earlier than April 2025.
