Nilah Counters in LoL: 5 Champions That Counter Nilah

Nilah, in Patch 12.13, will be the newest champion to come to League of Legends. Nilah is a melee ADC who dashes around enemies to deal damage up close, with abilities focused on providing both protection and healing to herself and her teammates. That being the case, we will try to predict the champions that can be strong against Nilah, in other words her counters. Here are our predictions for Nilah's 5 counter champions!

The Top 5 Counter Champions Against Nilah in League of Legends

1. Caitlyn

Since Nilah is a melee champion, Caitlyn's long range on both her abilities and her auto-attacks gives her a big advantage over Nilah. As long as players stay outside Nilah's range, they should be able to keep poking her and stop her from getting too comfortable in the laning phase. Because we think she will be helpless against Caitlyn, we do not recommend picking Nilah after Caitlyn locks in on the enemy team. Although she will be strong because she is new, there is no such thing as a champion that cannot be countered.

2. Ezreal

Ezreal is another champion who not only has good range on his auto-attack but also solid range on his Q, W and R. In addition, his E essentially lets him flash away from enemies, which will probably be extremely useful when trying it out. Because of Nilah's lack of range, she needs to stay away from long-range ADC champions. ADC champions who can deal damage from long range are Nilah's number 1 counter champions.

3.Lux

Since most new champions tend to take over the game at lower ELOs after release, Lux will probably be a safe pick against Nilah. Lux's ability range should be able to keep Nilah at arm's length, and Nilah has no immunity to CC, which makes Lux's Q a great way to keep her away when she tries to dash in and get close. Because she can stun from a long distance and Nilah has no resistance to CC, the Lux support will give Nilah plenty of headaches.

4. Xerath

Similar to Lux, Xerath is another ranged support who will do a great job of keeping Nilah away in lane. His Q range is extremely long, which means he can keep poking to stop Nilah from having enough health to dash in. In addition, his E stun gives players time to get away from Nilah after stunning her.

5. Lulu

Lulu's entire kit has great tools for keeping Nilah at a distance. If Nilah gets too close, Lulu can polymorph her, giving Lulu time to regain her distance while avoiding damage from her. Lulu can also shield and heal with her E and knock nearby enemies into the air with her R, which will be useful against both Nilah's own shield and her speed.
