Petit Planet Switch 2 port set for 2027, launch rewards

The Petit Planet Switch 2 version is official. HoYoverse closed its pre-launch special program on November 1 by announcing a Nintendo Switch 2 version for 2027, while the PC, iOS and Android release stays on track for December 4.

The broadcast covered more than the port. HoYoverse also walked through launch rewards, pre-registration milestones and new events, and it kicked off a giveaway to mark the Switch 2 news.

Petit Planet Switch 2 version: what we know

According to the statement carried by Gematsu, miHoYo will release the Switch 2 version in 2027. Polygon reports that the short trailer at the end of the stream showed the game running both docked and in handheld mode, with visuals close to the PC build. Pocket Tactics adds that HoYoverse says the team is hard at work on the port and will share gameplay footage and more details next year.

Polygon sees the Switch 2 as the obvious first console for Petit Planet. Cozy life sims sell very well on Nintendo hardware, and there's still no brand-new Animal Crossing for Switch 2. Don't expect a Steam version either. Insider Gaming notes that, like Genshin Impact, the game is skipping Steam on PC in favour of the Epic Games Store and HoYoverse's own launcher.

What are the Petit Planet launch rewards?

According to the official site, everyone who pre-registers, including earlier sign-ups, gets the Bestie Star-Light. More rewards unlock as global pre-registrations climb. You just need to log in after launch to claim them.

The official site also lists a code tied to the release date reveal: PTPL1204. It gives 10 Curio Sea Whistles, which you use in Starsea Call to get seasonal Curios. New events and giveaways

HoYoverse says more than 1,000 clothing and furniture items can be earned through regular play. In the "Besties, Made to Match!" event, teams of three friends who pre-register together each get an exclusive Archiboo top. The "Launch a Planet" event, live since November 1, lets you design your own planet on the official event site for a shot at grand prizes.

The first Seasonal Creation Event starts at launch, with cash prizes, in-game rewards and official merch for selected fan creations. Pocket Tactics also reports a Switch 2 giveaway: follow Petit Planet on X and repost the announcement with #PetitPlanetSwitch2 before November 15. Three winners get a Switch 2 and Pro Controller bundle, and ten more get a $50 gift card.
