What's in the Valorant patch notes 13.09?

Riot Games posted the 13.09 notes on the official Valorant site on October 27. The first line says it all: new agent Hush is now in the game. Beyond her, the patch rewrites ability descriptions, gives buffs proper names and makes the Warden easier to handle.

As Dexerto points out, Hush was revealed on October 18, in the middle of Valorant Champions. She hails from Guangdong, China, and is the ninth duelist in the pool. Until now she was only playable through early access.

What are Hush's abilities?

Per Riot's notes, Hush uses telekinesis to redirect her combat utility in midair. She disrupts and displaces enemies, then suspends them helplessly for the finishing shot. Here is the kit:

The trick shared by Displacement and Flashbulb is the reactivation. After a throw, Hush can redirect either one toward wherever her crosshair points. That should let players bend utility around corners at the last moment.

Riot also notes that Hush is the first new agent since Performance Score launched. Scores on her may be a bit bumpy for the first few days while the team tunes what good utility use looks like.

What changed for the Warden, Clove and Jett?

The Warden is the only weapon touched. Riot says it wants the rifle to fit its 2900 price better and feel easier to learn. Pitch recoil is smoother over the first few bullets. Second-bullet error drops from 0.25 to 0.2 and third-bullet error from 0.6 to 0.5.

Clove gets two standardizing changes. Pick-me-up's bonus movement speed falls from 15% to 10%. Killing Clove after Not Dead Yet now grants the killer an ultimate point and a signature refresh point. Jett's passive has been removed from the Buy Menu because it can't be purchased.

What do Haste and Snapshot mean?

Two official buff terms arrive. Haste is the movement speed boost some abilities give you. It is separate from Combat Stim, which speeds up fire rate, equip, reload and recovery. Snapshot is the still-image silhouette reveal used by Cypher's Neural Theft and Spycam.

Brimstone's Stim Beacon, Clove's Pick-me-up, Miks' Harmonize and Neon's High Gear and Overdrive will now show a Haste buff. Waylay's Convergent Paths buff has been renamed to Haste. Every ability description and tooltip has also been rewritten for clarity.

Competitive tweaks and bug fixes

In competitive, your Act Best Match now carries more weight in your Map Rating. The First Blood accolade was showing up too often, so its threshold is higher. Riot says historic accolade counts are unaffected. In the store, players in Korea can now buy Radianite Points in-game.

There is a long list of fixes too. Sova's Hunter's Fury should no longer hit players behind him. Tejo's Special Delivery no longer lingers into the next round. Cypher, Raze, Omen and Yoru also get fixes.
