007 First Light Free Starter Pack is out

The 007 First Light Free Starter Pack is live. IO Interactive is giving away the opening Iceland mission on Steam and Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 pack arrives on November 10. Progress carries into the full game.

PlayStation Plus Premium already had a one-hour timed trial. The Starter Pack is different: no subscription, and you play through the opening mission instead of watching a clock.

What does the 007 First Light Free Starter Pack include?

The pack covers the Iceland opening chapter. Reports put the runtime around 30–60 minutes. It introduces a younger Bond before MI6 and shows stealth, action and exploration.

What discounts are running with the pack?

IO Interactive also discounted the full game. Steam has 40% off from November 5–9. Xbox has 40% off from November 5–15. PS5 has 50% off from November 5–30. Check your local store for the final price.

How is it different from the PS Plus trial?

The Premium Timed Trial is capped at one hour. The Starter Pack focuses on finishing the opening mission and needs no subscription. Both carry progress into the full game. If you have Premium on PS5, try it now; if not, wait for the free pack on November 10.

How large is the Steam and Xbox download?

The Starter Pack is listed as a separate free app or demo. Steam asks for an SSD and about 80 GB, close to the full game baseline. Check free space first. Xbox Store also has a separate free product card. Buying the full version on the same platform is the cleanest way to keep progress.

What should players do next?

The barrier to trying the Bond game just dropped. On Steam or Xbox you can download today. If you like it, the sale windows make buying the full game cheaper. A Switch 2 version is also planned; confirm the latest date on the official site.

Where can you buy 007 First Light?

The full game is out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store. It is also sold through Amazon.com. Editions include Standard, Deluxe, Collector's and Legacy. A Switch 2 version is planned separately; re-check the official date near launch.

If you finish the Starter Pack and want to upgrade, buy the full version in the same storefront. That keeps progress transfer cleanest. For PS5 players waiting until November 10, the Premium trial is a bridge. Sale windows end on different days per platform, so watch the calendar.

After Hitman, IO Interactive is building a new Bond narrative world. The Starter Pack shows the Glacier stealth loop in a short slice. If you dislike it, you only lose about an hour; if you like it, the sale windows make upgrading cheaper. Collector editions remain for players who want physical extras.

Amazon MGM Studios is named in the announcement. Film and TV marketing still ride alongside the game launch. The Starter Pack is the try-before-you-buy layer. PS5 players should mark November 10; PC and Xbox players can start today.
