November 3 was a busy day at the $1.25 million Counter-Strike 2 event. Aurora, who lost 2-0 to Liquid in their opener, bounced back behind a huge series from Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın.

How did Aurora knock out G2?

According to HLTV's match report, Aurora opened the series with a 13-9 win on Nuke. G2 hit back 13-9 on Inferno to force a decider. Dust2 went to overtime. A Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač ace kept G2 alive for a while, but Aurora closed the map 16-13.

Wicadia was the standout. He dropped 26 kills on Dust2 alone and finished the series 60-47 with a 1.30 rating. Özgür "woxic" Eker added 56 kills and a 1.11 rating. Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş had a quieter series at 0.88.

For G2, the slump goes on. This is their third straight group-stage exit since reaching the FISSURE Playground 3 final in September. HLTV notes they have won just one of nine series across EPL S24, PGL Bucharest and IEM Beijing. G2 play MOUZ at BLAST Rivals in Hong Kong next, then start the PGL Major Singapore in Stage 2.

PARIVISION and MOUZ reach the playoffs

PARIVISION followed their opening win over G2 with a 2-0 sweep of Liquid. Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev finished 36-22 with a 1.48 rating. Liquid cut a 2-7 deficit to 5-7 at the half on Ancient, but PARIVISION won the first five rounds after the switch to pull away.

MOUZ beat BETBOOM 13-6 on Ancient and 16-14 in overtime on Mirage. Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás led the way with a 38-17 scoreline and a 1.46 rating. It is a third consecutive playoff appearance for the team.

What comes next at IEM Beijing 2026?

Aurora face BETBOOM next in the lower bracket. Three teams from each group reach the playoffs. The group winner goes straight to the semi-finals, while second and third place start in the quarter-finals. In Group B, the loser of the upper final still gets a quarter-final spot, so the last ticket comes from the lower bracket. That means Aurora need two more series wins. Liquid are in the same position, and HLTV says they also need two wins in a row.
