The MongolZ beat NAVI 2-0 in the IEM Beijing 2026 semi-finals to reach the grand final. The Mongolian side won Cache 13-10 and Inferno 13-11, booking their first big-event final in 14 months.

According to HLTV, it is The MongolZ's first shot at a trophy since FISSURE Playground 2 last September. NAVI, one of the tournament favourites, are out in the semi-finals.

How did The MongolZ beat NAVI?

The opener was NAVI's pick, Cache. The MongolZ pulled ahead with unusual rounds won on pistols around a saved AWP. A costly start to the second half broke NAVI's economy, and big multi-kills from nin9, cobrazera and Techno closed the map 13-10.

NAVI started Inferno better. w0nderful, red-hot all event but quiet on Cache, came alive and NAVI led 7-5 at the half. The MongolZ then opened the second half with another pistol-only win. A Techno 1v2 clutch flipped the lead, and NAVI's late comeback fell short at 13-11.

Map	Score	Key moment
Cache (NAVI pick)	MongolZ 13-10	Pistol rounds and bLitz entries
Inferno	MongolZ 13-11	Techno 1v2 clutch, NAVI comeback falls short

Who was the star of the series?

In-game leader bLitz was the standout. HLTV stats show him at 42-26 with 96.2 ADR and a 1.49 Rating 3.0. Techno followed with 1.20. For NAVI, w0nderful led the way with 1.14.

bLitz (MongolZ): 42-26, 96.2 ADR, 1.49 rating
Techno (MongolZ): 35-29, 79.9 ADR, 1.20 rating
nin9 (MongolZ): 32-32, 74.7 ADR, 1.02 rating
w0nderful (NAVI): 37-32, 78.6 ADR, 1.14 rating
Aleksib (NAVI): 25-29, 62.7 ADR, 1.05 rating

What were the line-ups?

Team	Players	Coach
The MongolZ	bLitz, Techno, nin9, cobrazera, 910	maaRaa
NAVI	Aleksib, iM, b1t, w0nderful, makazze	B1ad3

HLTV's live notes point out that The MongolZ had won either the pistol or the following force-buy on every half across their last five maps. The streak held on Cache, where they opened 3-0. Winning despite a tough day for AWPer 910 (0.77 rating) shows the depth of the roster, with nin9 also standing out as a strong secondary caller.

Who will they face in the final?

The MongolZ will meet the winner of the second semi-final between MOUZ and BETBOOM. Those two met in the group stage on November 3, when MOUZ won 2-0. HLTV's live notes say BETBOOM started the rematch fast, before MOUZ levelled after a timeout.

For The MongolZ, this final is a big confidence boost ahead of the Singapore Major. The team had been away from the biggest stages for a while. Lifting the trophy in Beijing would make one of the strongest comeback stories of the season.
