Raven Software's update rebuilds the battle royale around Modern Warfare 4. The official notes promise two new maps, 30-plus new weapons and new modes.

What do Hajin and Zodiac offer?

Hajin is a large map spanning North and South Korea. It has 13 major points of interest, from city districts and industrial sites to farmland, rivers and mountains. One of six weather scenarios is picked at random at the start of every match.

Hajin's new Gulag comes in two arena layouts. Players can mantle over obstacles and spectate from ground level at certain angles. Local weather affects the Gulag too.

Zodiac is a compact Resurgence map set in a South Korean drone factory. It has 10 points of interest, moving trains and underground routes. Visibility and footstep audio were improved after the beta.

What changes for movement, loot and perks?

  • Tactical Sprint is open to everyone, and slides and slide-to-jump transitions are faster.
  • Train spawn rates are down by roughly 25%, so Legendary loot is rarer.
  • According to Dot Esports, the Contract Cash multiplier is gone and High Value Loot Zones dropped from three to one.
  • 15 base perks arrive, plus a fourth slot with Elite Perks such as Athleticism, Fieldcraft and Phantom.
  • Tripwire Mines and Screamer Mines join the equipment list.

New physics objects matter too. Barrels, dumpsters, wooden boxes and concrete cylinders can become cover, ramps or traps. Dot Esports says only fuel barrels are on Rebirth Island for now.

What changed in weapon balance?

Dexerto's roundup shows many Modern Warfare 4 weapons getting buffs. The Axion's medium damage range grew from 34.8 m to 38.61 m, and its muzzle velocity rose from 415 m/s to 470 m/s. The Oris 8.6's maximum damage range went from 19.05 m to 22.61 m.

The APOC-338 is the one LMG that took a nerf: minimum damage fell from 33 to 32 and the head multiplier from 1.35 to 1.3.

What happens to Warzone Agent?

From Season 1, Activision is acting against Warzone Agent, a paid third-party app. It lets players gauge opponents' skill during pre-match warm-ups and dodge tougher lobbies. Activision does not call it a cheat, but it says it creates an unfair advantage.

What does this mean for players?

Shorter circles and a tighter loot economy aim to make matches flow faster. The official notes say Activision wants ground loot, default loadouts and custom weapons to stay viable. The real impact will show in the first weeks. For earlier context, see our MW4 Season 1 guide and the Switch 2 story.
