What Are the FIFA 23 Ones to Watch Player Predictions? How Do OTW Card Upgrades Work?
The FIFA 22 Ultimate Team campaign is drawing to a close, and we have slowly started looking at FIFA 23. Many big deals have already been completed for some of the biggest names in world football, and the "Ones to Watch" player predictions, expected to be an incredible promo in FUT 23, have been announced.
FIFA 23 Ones to Watch Promo
Ones to Watch cards have featured in the last few Ultimate Team seasons, and they are expected to be the first special card set in the new game. The included cards are chosen from the best summer transfers and are given dynamic ratings that rise with each Team of the Week pick and on a "win to watch" basis. By pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23, you can check out the Ones to Watch promo from the start of FUT 23.
How Do FIFA 23 OTW Card Upgrades Work?
Ones to Watch card upgrades are thought to work as they did in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team: as players show their skills on the pitch for their new clubs, Ones to Watch items will upgrade when they receive a performance-based in-form item such as Team of the Week and Player of the Match. New in FUT 22, OTW items became eligible for a "Winning to Watch" upgrade, with a one-time +1 In-Form boost, if a team wins five of its next ten domestic league matches from October 1.
FIFA 23 Ones to Watch Player Predictions
Robert Lewandowski (OVR 92)
For this player, we can say Bayern Munich's loss is Barcelona's gain. He could be the highest-rated player in the game, so we can expect him to be included in the Ones to Watch promo.
Sadio Mane (OVR 89)
Lewandowski's departure was offset by Sadio Mane's arrival at the German champions, and Mane could be the best player in the Bundesliga in FUT 23. Since Mane broke goal records for Liverpool, we can expect several upgrades for him throughout the season.
Erling Haaland (OVR 88)
Manchester City added world-class Norwegian international striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund to their squad. The player will join the Premier League champions this summer.
Raheem Sterling (OVR 87)
Raheem Sterling left Man City and joined Chelsea. Perhaps seeking more playing time ahead of the World Cup, but we can expect Sterling to show his skills.
Matthijs de Ligt (OVR 85)
As another of Bayern Munich's new youngsters, Matthijs de Ligt could contribute to the Ones to Watch promo as a quality centre-back. The Dutch star is fast enough to fit the FUT "meta".
The other players can be listed as follows:
- Romelu Lukaku (OVR 86)
- Paul Pogba (OVR 86)
- Antonio Rudiger (OVR 86)
- Kalidou Koulibaly (OVR 86)
- Franck Kessie (OVR 84)
- Raphinha (OVR 83)
- Gabriel Jesus (OVR 83)
- Aurelien Tchouameni (OVR 81)
- Kalvin Phillips (OVR 81)
- Richarlison (OVR 81)
- Darwin Nunez (OVR 79)
