As with the FIFA 22 announcement trailer, EA wanted to show the latest advances in HyperMotion technology with the second version introduced for FIFA 23. EA commented on this: "Advances in HyperMotion gameplay technology, which captures twice as much match data, unlock new features and bring more than 6,000 original animations taken from millions of frames of advanced match capture to FIFA 23". This feature was again achieved using motion capture in Xsens suits in 11v11 match play and training drills, so that players move in the most realistic way possible. In addition, machine learning on next-generation consoles means the new animations will happen in real time.
Women's Teams
We had announced that women's football would expand in FIFA 23 with the addition of the Women's World Cup mode. With Sam Kerr appearing as a cover star in a Chelsea shirt, women's club teams are expected to appear for the first time in the history of the FIFA series.
