League of Legends 12.6 Early Patch Notes

After a long gap, patch notes are back. After LoL Patch 12.5, Riot Games took a month-long break as they announced themselves. As we reach the end of that month-long gap, the PBE patch notes for Patch 12.6 have surfaced. Even though they're not finalized yet, we understand players are curious about what changes Patch 12.6 will bring. To satisfy that curiosity, we wanted to look into the early champion patch notes for LoL 12.6. Here are the LoL 12.6 early champion patch notes we found.

LoL 12.6 Early Champion Patch Notes

Swain Takes Over Mid Lane

Swain has stayed in bot lane long enough. Riot is making some changes to the champion's passive, ultimate, and Q, along with a few other updates. Will these changes be enough?

Passive - Ravenous Flock

[Removed] No longer deals spell damage

Q - Death's Hand

Cooldown reduced from 9/7.5/6/4.5/3 to 7/6/5/4/3

Mana cost reduced from 65/70/75/80/85 to 50/55/60/65/70

R - Demonic Ascension

Cooldown changed from [120] to [120/100/80]

Swain will likely lose a bit of power due to the passive change, but with the cooldown and mana cost changes, he'll be much more self-sufficient, meaning he can survive better in lane.

Lifesteal Is Changing Again

Sustain and lifesteal have been an issue in League of Legends. Overhealing has been a problem in League of Legends for a while, so Riot is making some changes to a group of items to try to smooth them all out.

Vampiric Scepter

• Lifesteal reduced from 10% to 8%

Bloodthirster

• AD increased from 55 to 60
• Lifesteal reduced from 20% to 15%

Blade of the Ruined King

• Lifesteal reduced from 10% to 8%

Immortal Shieldbow

• Lifesteal reduced from 10% to 8%
• Mythic Passive health increased from 50 to 70

Zeri Is Getting Nerfed Again

Zeri hits a bit too hard, both in pro play and in solo queue, so Riot August outlined some changes coming to the Rift in League of Legends Patch 12.6.

Base Stats

• Base AD reduced from 58 to 50
• HP changed from [500 + 85/lvl] to [480 +90/lvl]
• Armor reduced from [23 +3.5/lvl] to [20 +3/lvl]

Burst Fire (Q)

• Damage increased from 9-25 to 10-30
• Charged right-click max health damage reduced from [3-15% at level 18] to [1-10% at level 13]

Spark Surge (E)

• Cooldown changed from [23-19] to [23]
• Passthrough damage reduced from [80-100%] to [60-100%]

Lightning Crash (R)

• Move speed per stack changed from [2%] to [1.5-2%]
• Stacks granted per champion hit by the area burst increased from 3 to 4

Rengar Rework Arrives in LoL Patch 12.6

The long-awaited Rengar rework is coming in this patch. Here are the details of the Rengar update players have been eagerly waiting for:

Unseen Predator (Passive)

• [Effect Changed] When Rengar doesn't have Ferocity, his next pounce generates 1 Ferocity.
• Ferocity decay time increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds
• Bonetooth forgiveness window increased from 1.5 seconds to 3 seconds
• The timing of the pounce-from-bush ability is no longer variable by up to 0.25 seconds
• Range increased by 25 units for consistency
• Jump height increased slightly
• Uses a secondary resource bar for stacks, showing which stack came from a pounce

Savagery (Q)

• Always counts as a critical strike; critical strike chance increases its damage at 1% crit chance = 1 damage
• Now works on towers

Bola Strike (E)

• [New] No cast time while pouncing
• [New] Reveals enemies for 2s

Thrill of the Hunt (R)

• Indicator changed from [unit only] to [small area around unit]

When Will LoL Patch 12.6 Be Released?

It's planned to go live on March 30, exactly one month after Patch 12.5 was released.
