LoL Worlds 2022: Location and Schedule

As you know, League of Legends Worlds 2021 was pushed to this year because of Covid-19. After a long wait, this year's tournament will be held in quite grand fashion. The tournament will take place across North America, in venues that have hosted esports events before. When will League of Legends Worlds 2022 (LoL Worlds 2022) start? Where will it be held? Is the tournament schedule known? In our article, we'll cover what you need to know about this grand tournament.

When Will LoL Worlds 2022 Be Held?

First, let's note that there's no date yet. So while we can roughly guess when the Worlds tournament will be held, no official date has been announced. League of Legends World Championships usually start in October and end in November. The event runs for about a month for all the teams. Based on this, we can expect this year's tournament to fall within the same date range.

Where Will LoL Worlds 2022 Be Held?

Riot Games' head of communications, David Higdon, announced the tournament's location in a Twitter post. According to that post, the tournament stretches from San Francisco to Atlanta and wraps up in San Francisco. Many people expecting the tournament had heard the semifinals would be held in Toronto, but those plans had to change. Because of Covid-19 measures, the tournament's location was changed to Atlanta. However, it was noted that a new esports event could be held in Toronto in the future. Right now, the tournament's schedule and the teams that will take part haven't been announced yet.
