We could not confirm those details for 26/27 in an official source, so we are not presenting them as current rules. What we can confirm: OSM Helper keeps in-form players in a separate tab and sends its users a dedicated notification whenever the list updates. In other words, the list is not permanent; it changes from period to period. Check the base rating before paying extra for a player just because he is in form.

An OSM in-form player is a player whose rating has been temporarily lifted above his base value. As of 25 October 2026, OSM Helper's data lists 20 in-form players with boosts of 2 to 4 points; Eberechi Eze, for example, goes from 87 to 90 and Lamine Yamal from 90 to 92.

In-form is defined as a separate player rarity in the code of OSM's official web client, alongside Legend and Evolution types. The current list and ratings come from the in-form players tab of OSM Helper, a community tool.

What does an in-form player do?

An in-form player's displayed rating sits a few points above his base rating. In OSM Helper's data, the boost shows up both in the overall rating and in the relevant sub-rating for the position:

Forwards and wingers: Usually only the attack value rises (for example, Barcola +3 attack, no defence boost).
Midfielders: Both attack and defence rise (for example, Eze and Rabiot +3/+3).
Centre-backs: The defence value rises (for example, Julian Chabot +4 defence).

In practice, an in-form player looks like a higher-rated player in your squad for that period. If you have one, it makes sense to use him in your starting eleven; if you are looking at transfers, remember the boost is temporary.

The rest of the list includes players in the 80s such as Denis Bouanga, Julian Brandt and Brajan Gruda, plus players in the 70s such as Filip Stankovic, Carlo Holse and Tiago Volpi. Most in-form players (11 of 20) have a +3 boost, eight have +4 and one has +2.

Other special player types

In-form players are not the only special type in 26/27:

Legend players: According to OSM Helper's events calendar, some events (such as "Legends" and "Golden Oldies X Legends") add legend players to the transfer list.
Scary Switchers: A new rarity introduced with the Halloween event on OSM's Google Play page. According to the official description, these players play in a different position from the one you are used to. The event is listed until early November.
