FIFA 22 Corner Glitch Fixed in Update 4 (January 2022)

Congratulations, EA Sports, but it took 3 months... To be honest, FIFA 22 is a really successful game in terms of gameplay. It had just one small problem: corners. As we explained way back in November, there was a corner glitch in the game. Players scored from corners at a rate as if they were taking penalties. And it was fixed in the latest patch, which you can see at this link . We don't know whether to be sad or happy. But we can be glad that a bug was fixed in the game :) The FIFA 22 corner glitch was fixed in Update 4. So what should we do now?

How Do You Take Corners in FIFA 22?

When taking a corner in FIFA 22, we have two options: either cross directly into the box or start with a pass. To cross directly into the box, if we are playing on Classic controls we can press the Square button (X on Xbox and A on PC), while to start with a pass we need to press the X button (A on Xbox, S on PC).

At the same time, when crossing into the box, the L1 button (LB on Xbox, Q on PC) gives us the chance to switch to the player in the box and control him. Another method is to switch to our players with high physicality and good heading, adjust their positions and then cross.

As for advanced tactics, we can adjust how many players will come up for the corner. Although many esports players keep the corner bar at just 1 to prevent counter-attacks, this is entirely up to you. In general, we recommend choosing 3 bars or lower in the advanced tactics so you don't get caught too short.

What Was the FIFA 22 Corner Glitch?

1. Calling a player over to the side with L1
2. Passing to the player we called with X
3. Passing with X, on the first touch, from the player we called to the player at the corner arc
4. Crossing into the penalty area with the player at the corner arc
5. Getting a chance to score with our free player

By following these steps, we were able to score from FIFA 22 corners. However, this bug was removed in the latest patch.

How Do You Score From Corners in FIFA 22? (Latest Patch as of January 2022)

1. Calling a player over to the side with L1
2. Passing to the player we called (preferably a player with good strength and balance attributes) with X
3. Trying to move toward the penalty area with the player we called.
4. Playing a hard pass into the penalty area with R1 + X.
5. Scoring with our free player.

Even though the old tactic is gone, a new one immediately appears! This is how you can now score from FIFA 22 corners (after the patch).
