FIFA 22 Ultimate Team is mostly great fun and good matches, but there can be some annoying moments too. Especially when your player gets a red card. Not only are we down a player during the match, we also have to sit that player out the next match and wait for the ban to pass. But what if I told you sitting them out isn't the only solution? There is a FIFA 22 Ultimate Team red card trick. So how do you do the FIFA 22 red card trick? How does a player with a red card take the field the next match? The answers are in our article!

How Do You Do the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team Red Card Trick?

To do the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team red card trick, your player first needs to have gotten a red card. :) Naturally, there's no need to read this article unless that first condition is met. But if you unfortunately did get a red card, or want to clear one in the future, feel free to keep reading.

There's a way to clear a red card without a loss being recorded (by leaving matches). That's entering a Squad Battles match and leaving the match before minute 5. Put the player whose red card you want to clear on your bench. (Just don't drop them outside your 23-man squad screen.) Right after that, on your console go to Settings –> Network, click the button to disconnect your internet connection, and if you reconnect it 1 second later, you'll appear to have disconnected from the game. But since you're in an online mode and it's before minute 5, the game won't record a loss for you. And at the same time, your player's red card will also be cleared. That way, they'll be back on the field the next match.

Is There a Red Card Trick in FIFA 22 Career Mode?

In Career Mode too, if your players get a red card they can be suspended for 1 to 3 matches, which is also annoying. Unfortunately, we can't apply the same trick in Career Mode. What we can do to work around it is, just like in real life, make sure our players fill their yellow card suspensions before unimportant matches. Unfortunately, just like in real life, this isn't a full fix either, but at least it can guarantee your players are available for derbies.
