FIFA 23 Player Career: What We Know So Far

FIFA 23's reveal trailer has arrived, and it keeps bringing new information about the game. We're sharing what you need to know about the Player Career mode updates ahead of more details that will be released soon. Here's everything we know about FIFA 23 Player Career:

FIFA 23 Player Career

Player Career mode was given a bit of a break in FIFA 22, with more cinematic elements added to boost the sense of immersion in the game. New match objectives give you specific tasks to complete from game to game; player development has changed, and pre- and post-match cinematics bring you into the locker room. The Player Skill Tree was also changed, reflecting what we've seen in Pro Clubs into how you develop your Virtual Pro. You can now choose Archetypes and Perks while leveling up your player, a feature that gives you extra ability on the pitch. Good performances in training and matches, such as completing objectives, get you a higher rating from your manager. But it's worth noting that if you fail to hit your objectives, you could find yourself placed on the transfer list.

FIFA 23 Player Career Mode Updates

No new feature has been announced yet for FIFA 23 Player Career Mode, but we think the mode could get more features this year. Alongside the FIFA 23 trailer, EA included a small bit of information about Career Mode. The description used the phrasing: "Define your personality as a player, manage as some of football's most famous names, and enjoy a new way to play your season with Playable Highlights in the most authentic FIFA Career Mode experience yet."
